Frequently Asked Questions

The property doesn’t have central AC, but it stays relatively cool in the summer. The primary bedroom has an individual, window-vented AC unit for particularly warm days, and all bedrooms have fans. 


Bhttps://websites.godaddy.com/faqsathrooms: The property has two full bathrooms, designed in a split-bathroom style offering flexibility for multiple guests to get ready at the same time. There is also an outdoor shower with hot & cold water and a changing area! 

  • First-floor bathroom - #1: Powder room off main living area (toilet and sink). Separate room with 5’ x 5’ rain shower and sink accessed through laundry room. 
  • Third-floor bathroom - #2: Powder room accessed from hallwaybetween bedrooms (toilet and sink). Vanity and 5’ x 5’ shower accessed through primary bedroom.


This property is located on Mullett Lake. This section features a rocky shoreline. Water shoes recommended.


  • Primary Bedroom: Located on the 3rd level with a king bed, ceiling fan, an office space with desk and double monitors, and lake views from both bedroom and office space
  • Bedroom #2: Located on the 3rd level with a full bed, ceiling fan, and a balcony (great for star-gazing) with small seating area
  • Bedroom #3: Located on the 2nd level with a full bed and two twin bunks
  • Bedroom #4: Located on the 1st floor with a queen bed and a partial lake view


  • Two kayaks and two stand-up paddleboards are available for guest use.. Please use the personal flotation devices located in the lean-to shed across from the kitchen. 


  • The Jewell Boat Launch is 8 minutes away! (4.9 miles)


Mosquitoes are common in the summer months. 


Traditional cable Is not offered at this location. There are a few channels available over air on the television and streaming is available on the Chromecast (the Google Home app must be downloaded to access).


All major carriers work in this area,


A drip coffee maker with filters is available.  


A floating dock is available from mid-June to Labor Day. Please be advised this dock is not usable for boat tie offs. 


Well water is used at this property. We advise guests to bring bottled water if they do not like the taste of well water.


Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.


There is a wood burning fireplace!


Bring your firewood! There is an outdoor fire pit for guest use, but please watch the edge! 


Fish off the dock! Walleye, perch, bass, sturgeon, northern pike, and trout are common to the area.


A license is required in order to fish in Michigan.


Fishing poles are located in the outdoor shed or in The Cabin room in the corner by the glass cabinet, depending on the season.
